Reserving a Picnic Spot
The Memorial Garden has been mapped out to provide attendees with enough space to accommodate large picnic blankets, hoop skirts and as many friends as you can gather. (see map) Please choose your favorite location and reserve it as soon as possible by going to this link. Picnic Spot Reservation. The Memorial Garden mapped Picnic Spots will be available for purchase on the day of the event if they have not been previously reserved.
Most picnic spots are 10ft by 10ft and $20 to reserve. The exception to that are the 'King, Queen, Prince, and Princess' plots that have extra room and royal views of the event and are $25. All reserved spots automatically enter you into the 'Time Traveler's Attire Awards' and the 'Picnic Presentation Showstopper Contest' , so be sure to plan to show off your finery and decorating skills. You may also attend the picnic in a non-reserved area, but you will not be entered into the competition. We do ask that you still make a $10 Non-Reserved Area donation to the cause here.
What do I wear?
We are hoping for a fine bit of Texas weather in early November, so dress in layers it could start warm and get cooler as the sun goes down. Most people will be dressed in their Victorian finery, but all dress is welcome. As we say 'Time Travelers are Welcome'. It is all up to you on how you want to interpret the Victorian theme. Will there be Bathrooms?
Yes, in collaboration with the park, there will be restrooms available onsite. There are also shops outside of the park that have restrooms that you may ask to use.
Will there be Electricity?
We are currently working with the park in order to have electric at the event. There are currently limited outlets for vendor use.
What happens if it rains?
Incase of inclimate weather, the event will be rescheduled. Since this is a fundraiser for charity no refunds will be issued except to vendors who are impacted.
What does the money go towards?
All proceeds go to the Golden Rule Gala. Our biennial event honoring unsung heroes in our community.
How do I become a vendor?
Secure your vendor space at the Victorian Picnic and get ready to sell your wares, ply your trade, or showcase your skills. All vendors must reserve their space. Vendor locations will not be held, and only paid vendors will be able to showcase their wares. Many price points are available, and the space is generous for both Yard Vendors and Market Vendors. So pack your very best to impress and make this All Saints Weekend celebration truly unforgettable for your new customers!
- Market Vendor - Approximately 10 x 10 with stone flooring underneath booth area.
- XL Market Vendor - Approximately one-and-a-half Market Vendor spaces with stone flooring underneath booth area.
- Yard Vendor - 10 x 10 grass floor vending area right out in the action near picnic areas and street traffic
- Walking Vendor - A great option for vendors with light wares or services. Good for performers, food and small trinket peddlers. (Limited number of spots)
You may reserve more than one space. Only space will be provided. Please be sure to bring everything necessary for your booth. Please let us know if you need anything special, and we will try to accommodate. Vendors are scheduled to set up at noon and the event starts at 1pm. Earlier set-up times are available.
